New Motors has established an industrial unit in Ain Aouda (Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region) to manufacture cars intended for the local market and for export, with an expected annual production capacity of 27,000 units and a local integration rate of 65%.  The expected total investments for this project amount to 156 million dirhams, and it will ultimately allow the creation of 580 job positions.  Final approval for the first vehicle was issued by the National Road Safety Agency in February 2023.

The company has launched the initial series and plans to launch the industrial unit during June 2023 and launch marketing.  This project, which creates the first Moroccan automobile brand for the general public, is supported by national skills.  It relies mainly on the ecosystem of local automotive equipment manufacturers developed by the Kingdom.  The NamX hydrogen vehicle prototype was designed in collaboration with the leading Italian design office and bodybuilding company Pininfarina.  The interior design of the vehicle was carried out by Moroccan talents.

In fact, the HUV model will be supplied with hydrogen through a central tank that will be complemented by six removable capsules, ensuring great autonomy and facilitating the recharging of hydrogen in a few minutes.  This pioneering project places Morocco firmly in the global dynamic of developing new forms of transportation that combine efficiency and respect for the environment.  On this occasion, His Majesty the King awarded Nassim Belkhayat, founder and CEO of New Motors, and Fawzi Al-Najah, president and founder of NamX, with the Medal of Intellectual Competence.  This ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Riad
