SUV Renault Captur evaluation

The first model of the Renault Captur, together with its rival, the Nissan Juke, popularized the crossover class, so the second generation has a large job ahead of it. Families were drawn to the Captur's roomy back seats and ample trunk space. Despite being bigger than the Renault Clio upon which it was based, it wasn't significantly more expensive to acquire or operate. As a result, Renault kept selling 1.5 million cars.

Review of the Renault Captur SUV: "With low running costs and lots of elegance, the Renault Captur is one of the crossovers to beat."

Renault modified the appearance, increased interior and exterior space, and improved the driving and sitting comfort of the Captur to replace it. In fact, there are observable upgrades in every area, making this crossover one of the best and most reasonably priced small SUVs available. To entice business drivers and those seeking to lessen their carbon footprint, there is even an electric plug-in hybrid variant; it has few rivals that are the same size or price. The Captur actually possesses a wide range of skills, and it has received the Best Small Family Car award at the Carbuyer Best Car Awards for the past two years in a row.

Customers liked the first car's design, so the similarity to the most recent Captur is not unexpected. LED lights, with a C-shaped design reminiscent of the Renault Megane, are now standard and are still curved but slightly more embossed. With 90 different two-tone paint options, the brand's aesthetic has not changed, making Captur stand out.

Inside the Captur, material quality has dramatically improved, with grain materials largely replacing hard plastic and synthetic leather in more premium models. The infotainment screen is excellent and comes as standard equipment, but some models also include an improved infotainment system that resembles what you'd find in a Mercedes or a vehicle of a comparable caliber. Other unexpected features include adaptive cruise control and a collection of driver assistance systems that can accelerate and maneuver the car in traffic.

There is a lot of room inside for both people and luggage, and the movable rear seat lets you adjust the proportions of the latter. This can move 160mm forward and backward to modify trunk space between 422 and 536 liters, even if legroom is nearly nonexistent with it sliding completely forward.

Along with the Captur E-Tech hybrid, which joined the lineup in mid-2020, there are two gasoline engines available. In the past, two diesel engines were also available, but they have since been replaced by a second hybrid that is also available in the Renault Clio. A 1.0-liter entry-level gasoline engine with 89 horsepower and a 1.3-liter engine with 138 horsepower both have manual transmissions. Old gasoline with more than 153 horsepower has also since been phased out.

Consider purchasing a used or nearly new Renault Captur.

With a used or nearly new Renault Captur, you can save a sizable sum of money. You'll feel more secure knowing that many second-generation cars still have some time left on their factory warranty, but you'll also be able to negotiate a lower asking price.

What is its history? Renault Captur

A taller body and a more functional interior were added to the original Renault Captur in 2013, which was built mostly from Renault Clio components. 0.9, 1.2, and 1.5 liter petrol and diesel engines were previously offered, however as part of a 2017 makeover, the 1.2 was removed and a 1.3 liter variant was introduced. The update also added new equipment and various LEDs and grills.
In practically every way, the second generation model, which was released in 2019, was superior. Despite its affordable price, the inside was more opulent than before, and the driving experience was also significantly enhanced.
