Learn about the advantages and disadvantages of the golf8 Volkswagen

 Volkswagen Golf Mode

During the Volkswagen Golf 8's presentation and initial test drive, we learned about the MHEV and PHEV hybrids as well as a number of driver aid systems. The model range previously included a station wagon variation and a super-powerful Golf R, but the Ukrainian reality made its own changes and our car initially only comes in hatchback form with standard gasoline engines. For instance, the Volkswagen Golf 8 test vehicle was equipped with a 1.4-liter TSI gasoline engine, despite the fact that Volkswagen models and other brands are currently sold in Ukraine with 1.5 TSI engines that have a fuel-saving half-cylinder deactivation feature. This is merely one of the new Golf drives, though. however, the second engine, lovers, delight.

a classic C-Class hatchback from Europe. Golf has been a leader for years and even decades, but I wouldn't say it was the creator of Class C (as the Italians refer to these laurels). This is supported by the informal designation of Class C, "golf class," which is modeled from the title of the car's champion in the article. It is significant to note that the Golf model frequently served as the inspiration for the brand's other models, including the Jetta, Bora, Scirocco, and Caddy, as well as the hot variations (Golf GTI and Golf R) and electric vehicles (e-Golf). Volkswagen, but also. Looking forward In Ukraine, this is the Volkswagen Golf 8's first but not final encounter. But for now, the hero is

Is the new Volkswagen Golf innovative?

As you already understood from the text above, the second major change is the installation of conventional hydromechanical “automatic machines” instead of the DSG transmission. A car with a 1.4-liter TSI engine (as a test) receives an 8-speed automatic transmission from Aisin. This is the transmission of the AWF8 series (AWF8F35, AWF8F45, AWF8G45 - depending on the specific modification of the box), which is already found on some Volkswagen cars and related brands VAG. The company designation for Volkswagen is written as 09 ... (09S, 09Q, 09P - depending on the specific modification of the box). In general, this machine is found in a large number of cars of different brands: Toyota, Lexus, Citroen, Peugeot, Opel, BMW, Mini, etc. An interesting feature of the transmission is that the sixth gear is direct, and the 7-8 gears are already overdrive - it is important to reduce engine speed (and fuel consumption) when driving on the highway. And another feature of the box is its compactness: in fact, it was the first 8-speed “automatic” for cars with a transverse engine - this box was able to fit into the dimensions of the previous, but already 6-speed, “automatic”. And "yes": that's exactly what was put into the Volkswagen Golf 8 with a 1.6-liter engine. By the way, the Aisin six-speed automatic transmission also found its place under the hood of various brands. Price comparisons between the Volkswagen Golf 8 and its rivals

To the credit of Volkswagen in general and the Ukrainian importer in particular, the release of the Volkswagen Golf 8 was not delayed and immediately provided customers with seven options for cars. Customers can choose between engines, gearboxes, and versions, but so far only hatchbacks are available. It is crucial to remember that by the time the new product is introduced in Ukraine, special prices have been established for the first clients (mentioned below), which are 1200–1500 dollars more profitable than the ordinary ones.

The Volkswagen Golf 8 begins with a full set known as the Golf. However, even "in the base," the level of equipment is very high: Digital Cockpit Pro, a digital instrument panel, temperature control, heated front seats, AppConnect assistance, LED headlights and lights, keyless engine start button; but at the same time, 16-inch steel wheels with hubcaps. Starting at $23,000, the Volkswagen Golf 8 has a 1.6 MPI engine with 110 horsepower and a six-speed automated transmission.

The Life Edition is the highest trim level and includes additional features like cruise control, wireless smartphone charging, 10-color interior illumination, front and rear parking sensors, a rear view camera, 16-inch Norfolk alloy wheels, etc. In this instance, LifeGolfVolkswagen's optional engine/transmission is also available. Price: The 1.6 MPI option (110 hp) and 6-speed automatic gearbox start at $24,600; the 1.4 TSI option (150 hp) and 6-speed manual transmission start at $26,300; and the 1.4 TSI option (150 hp) with 8-speed automatic transmission start at $27,900.

Real fuel consumption of Volkswagen Golf 8

In the city, I use 8.5 to 9 liters of petrol every 100 kilometers. The consumption rises to 10.2-10.5 liters with heavy traffic and/or erratic driving, while a comfortable ride on clear, empty roads can yield at least 7.2-7.5 liters per 100 km. When traveling at 80 to 90 km/h on the highway, the automobile uses about 4.5 liters per 100 km; however, when traveling at 110 to 120 km/h, the consumption rises slightly to about 5.5 liters per 100 km. The car is already going at a speed of 80–90 km/h in eighth gear, and the engine crankshaft speed is only 1.5–1.6 thousand, which results in low fuel consumption rates.
